  1. Your shipping prices are way out of line for simply shipping papers. I own businesses and ship every day and know the real cost. If my order is being shipped next day then ok but I never saw anything mentioned about that. If it is not next day then I don’t understan $17.50 to ship a few papers. If I was not already done with all the requird work to do this, I would have canceled before ordering and just mailed to state to get this for half the cost. Oh well, buyer beware.

    1. Hello Norman and thank you for your input.
Most of the state agencies that we assist with do utilize the UPS Next Day shipping method. Once the Vital Records office has finished processing the order they then ship out using whichever shipping method the customer selects when placing the order.Typically the shipping methods available are UPS Next Day, which the price will vary by location or Regular Mail, there is no fee for the regular mail shipping. VitalChek actually saves the customer 48% on average when shipping UPS Next Day with our negotiated rates.
If you would like for us to look into your order to see if there is anything that we can change for you as far as the shipping method or possibly canceling your request, please feel free to contact our office directly at 1-800-255-2414 and we’ll be happy to help.
      Sincerely,
      Nichole H

  2. Pay close attention when choosing shipping method. I tried to go back and change it when I realized it was $19.00 and could
not. You can cancel the order apparently and start all over instead of reviewing your shipping method.

    1. Hi Jason. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced having to cancel your order and start over to change the shipping method. While we do provide the option of first class mail, the express shipping method is recommended because of the added security and tracking capabilities it provides to your vital document when it is in transit from the vital record agency to you. Please feel free to reach out to us at vitals.research@vitalchek.com if you need further assistance.

  3. I need to order 2 birth certs and one marriage license all from CA but different countilies… Will the shipping be less if ordered together

    1. Hello Deverie. Thanks for reaching out with your question. Similar to online stores, each of the three county vital records agencies are considered unique entities and process orders independent of one another so unfortunately each certificate request will be a different order and subject to it’s own shipping.

  4. Hi I am from India. I need to download my daughters birth certificate and to be shipped to India. Is it possible through vitalcheck to do international shipping?

    1. Hello Sudhan. Thanks for reaching out with your question. To answer your question, VitalChek does ship internationally. 5. We were attempting to order a birth certificate but had difficulty uploading the required documents. Having to put in the credit card information before completing the process was absurd. There is no way to cancel the order. The website is not user friendly. Then when I checked the verification email I was surprised by the shipping fee which was not disclosed before confirming my purchase. I am very dissatisfied with my experience and will be contacting Customer Service to get my money back.

  7. I just ordered a birth certificate and it charged me $20 for shipping and didnt tell me that until i processed the order.. it didnt even give me an option to choose a shipping method.. how can i change this method and be refunded for shipping?? $20 is ridiculous for shipping a piece of paper..

    1. Hello Heather. While most vital records agencies allow you to choose between USPS and UPS Next Day delivery, some outright require the UPS Next Day Service. The UPS Next Day service offers extra security for your important document by providing tracking and requiring a signature for delivery. Please contact us with your order number so we can assist you. The quickest way to reach us is by private message at Facebook.com/VitalChek. You will usually get a response in a matter of minutes. You can also call 877-513-6364 or email vitals.research@vitalchek.com.
