Best Places to Celebrate Oktoberfest

In October 20, 2016

Oktoberfest has a rich history, far beyond just enjoying a great beer. It started in 1810, when the Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The citizens of Munich were invited to celebrate the marriage at the gates of the city, now known as the Theresienwiese. Of course there was ample beer served, but the largest draw was actually the horse races at the festival! While the horse races are no longer held during Oktoberfest, you can still find plenty of beer and fun at the Theresienwiese in Munich. While Munich is the biggest Oktoberfest in the world, there are plenty of other great options out there for you to explore too. Here are a few places where you should consider celebrating Oktoberfest in the USA and internationally this year.
