The New Mexico Division of Vital Records (New Mexico Vital Records) issues certified copies of New Mexico birth certificates, New Mexico death certificates and New Mexico marriage records for events which occurred within New Mexico. You may order coipes of New Mexico vital records through VitalChek on an expedited basis.

New Mexico Vital Records does not accept third party orders placed through VitalChek.

Who Can Order?
Access to copies of New Mexico death certificates is restricted to the decedent's immediate family - mother, father, current spouse, adult sibling, maternal grandparent, paternal grandparent, adult child, and grandchild of the registrant.

Important - Anyone not listed above must submit a written request directly to New Mexico Vital Records, along with proof of entitlement, such as custody papers, power of attorney, or attorney letter showing tangible interest.
